Conference Venue
IMEKO TC15 Collegium 2026 will take place in the conference room of the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, located in Prague 9, Prosek district, within a 5-minute walk from the Prosek metro station (Line C), which provides a direct connection to the city centre in approximately 20 minutes. The venue offers an academic research environment suitable for focused technical discussions and close interaction among participants, and the conference room is equipped with standard audiovisual facilities for scientific presentations.
Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ITAM)
ITAM conducts scientific research in the field of solid mechanics, with a particular focus on micromechanics, solid biomechanics, statistical dynamics of systems and media, nonlinear mechanics, material failure processes, multifunctional materials, particulate media, and computational and numerical mechanics. In addition, the research activities include the economic assessment of structures and buildings, the development of new methodologies for special-purpose structures, and the evaluation of environmental and territorial impacts, with particular emphasis on the protection and assessment of historical buildings and settlements.
